The frustrations for most beginning crocheters come from not being able to coordinate the collaborative function of the left and right hand fingers. This frustration can be alleviated if a beginner understands the function of the involve fingers namely: 1] The Thumb, index and middle fingers of the hand that holds the crochet hook. For right-handed person, this would be the right hand; for the left-handed, this would be the left hand; 2] the thumb, index, middle finger and little finger of the hand that manage the yarn. For the right-handed person, this would be the left hand and for the left-handed, this would be the right hand. These fingers must work together at all time...

I'm learning as I go as far as blogging and all the other neat things that my laptop can do. After regretting that I cannot show a photo demo of the crochet beading process, I thought about the web cam that is built in on my laptop--is it not neat? It is so much easier than having to use my camera. The web cam pictures also upload 95% faster than pictures taken by my camera. I'm a right hand crocheter. My right hand manage the hook and my left manage the yarn. I use my left index finger here to also push the click button to take each photo while managing the tension of the yarn at the same time. I apologize if the pattern already has caused inconvenience. I recommend to only use Lion Brand Vanna's Choice for this pattern. If you are using other yarn brand you may have to adjust the number of total posts per round in order for the coaster to lay flat. With the Red Heart yarn "Super Saver", I have to Repeat R3 step in R4 ending with 42 total esc posts. Then I do R5 like this: sc next st. *Sc next 6 sts. 2 sc on next st*. Rep. until there are 48 sc posts. R6, Beading crochet st. is the same as for Lion Brand yarn.

This is continuation of the previous post, "Quick Beaded Coasters" Materials: 1) Yarn, med. wt. acrylic, worsted. I used Lion Brand. May use Scrap yarn, Sorry, I did not measure the exact yardage amount that each coaster required. 2) Crochet hook, Boye USA F/5-3.75mm aluminum and or Boye USA size D aluminum hook (used from R1 to R5).  3) Crochet hook, Boye D/3-3.25mm (used in R6 Beading Crochet sts.).  The Idea here is to choose a hook small enough to go through the hole of the beads and still be able to crochet effectively with the chosen yarn. 3) Pony Beads 16 beads for each coaster. I usually buy a 500 pieces pack of multi-colored pony beads.
