Quick Beaded Coasters

Hello everyone! I hope that everybody had a very happy Thanksgiving Dinner and get together with their families and friends. I am blessed with a wonderful family and I realized more and more how wonderful God is.

After the rush and preparations for Thanksgiving, we are into another--the preparations for Christmas Holiday. With the Spirit of Christmas, I'm sharing this quick and easy crochet pattern which I'm also making as part of my handmade gifts this year. I hope you enjoy making this as I have.

2010 WIP#1 Dogwood Blossoms Bolero Design Work Continues

Design work progresses slowly. Symmetry in crochet is tedious for me. I don't know if other garment crochet designers (experienced ones) find this to be so. My problem has to do with dealing with the directional orientation of crochet stitches. What I mean by this is that stitches lean to the left for right handed crocheter and lean to the right for left-handed crocheter. It affects the symmetry of a garment. and it is hard to do mirror image of left and right, without doing some corrective slight variation of the opposite panel of the garment. What I meant by this again is that the opposite panel does not have exact crochet stitches direction as the first panel. What I've read in some classic crochet pattern is that the designers don't write out the instructions for the opposite side. Multi-Colored Scarf

What is it about glitter that is so attractive especially to women?  And when the glitter is on yarn, it just sparks up the dormant creative energy that makes me want to crochet fabulous work.  I feel in love with this yarn from Lion Brand, called Bonbons "Party".  I feel like going to a party wearing a scarf made out of this.  Well the result of that impulse is shown in the above photos.  This is done in continues crochet using 3 balls of different color yarn.
